When Are The Classes?
The short answer: whenever it works for you!
The slightly longer answer: I have a whole ton of classes listed in the ‘Find a Class‘ section of my website where you can choose from dozens of listed times to fit around your schedule! If you would like to attend a class but are unable to do so live, please register and then send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be happy to send over the Zoom recording for you to do on your own time.
How Do You Do A Class Online?
Great question! VinoYoga was created around the idea that Yoga doesn’t necessarily need to take place in a studio, especially in times where it’s hard to even get outdoors! I use an app called Zoom to host a virtual Yoga class. You can find the download on their website here! Make sure you download the “Zoom Client for Meetings”.
To register for a class:
On my ‘FIND A CLASS‘ page, select the service and corresponding date and time for the class you want to attend, then follow the prompts to enter your personal and billing information. If it is your first time registering, use coupon code ‘FREEVINO’ to get your first class free! You will receive a class confirmation email as well as a registration email (for first time users) with a link to set a password for your VinoYogi login page. This VinoYogi page is where you will access the Zoom link for each class. **Please note that emails may get sent to your spam folder, so check there if nothing comes to your inbox.**
VinoYoga! My class with a glass! These classes are nothing but unique and I’m sure that this class will guarantee you finish with a smile on your face.
My VinoYoga class revolves around waking your body up while maintaining complete focus around making sure not a drop of that precious red liquid spills! These classes are meant to be fun, social gatherings for any level of Yoga enthusiast.
Do You Have To Drink Wine?
No! You do not have to drink wine or for that matter, anything alcoholic! You take your pick, red wine, white wine, beer, pop, water, it doesn’t matter! The beauty of VinoYoga is how I take advantage of the additional prop, being your glass of any type, and how it gives the class and it’s poses a totally different meaning.
What Should I Bring?
The only requirement for my class is a good attitude! Just kidding, you’re also gonna need:
- Comfortable clothes that you can easily move in
- A mat of any sort (carpet works too!)
- A Yoga block or other props for assistance (optional)
- A beverage of choice (only for VinoYoga classes, unless you wish to drink during my regular classes! I don’t judge!)
- A device that can use Zoom (Laptop, Tablet, Mac, iPad, Phone (althought I wouldn’t recommend it for optimal experience, the bigger the screen, the better!)
- Internet (but I feel like you’ve got that covered)
What is Yin Yoga?
I get asked this question a lot. Yin is a style of Yoga that is centred around gently stressing the connective tissues in the body to improve range of motion and flexibility, not to mention your overall health. This is done through long, passive holds that can range anywhere from 1-10 minutes or sometimes longer! It is recommended that you have props handy for these classes, such as yoga blocks, straps, bolsters and/or cushions. Various household items including books, pillows, blankets, towels, etc. can make wonderful makeshift props! Also, because we are not moving and raising the heart rate as much as other yoga classes, I encourage you to dress as comfortable and cozy as possible to stay warm!
Do You Provide The Wine?
Unfortunately not… Please feel free to drink any wine you wish though!
How Good Does My Internet Need To Be?
The amazing thing about Zoom is that your internet really doesn’t need to be that good at all! Zoom has an amazing compression algorithm (nerdy term for it sends a lot of data with very little internet requirements) which means we can have an entire class of people sharing their video at the exact same time without many issues. Here is the link to their website page outlining all of the system and bandwidth requirements.
How Long Are Your Yoga Classes?
My Yoga classes range anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour! The choice is yours! Take a look at my ‘Find a Class‘ page and you can decide the length of class you’d prefer.
What If I’m Not Good At Yoga?
Not to worry! You should never have to worry about being new to Yoga and I promise you that I will ensure your first classes never make you look back! My Yoga classes are open to everyone and provide plenty of options and modifications for beginner and advanced yogis alike.
I understand that life can get busy and plans change so if you have paid for a class and are unable to attend, I can offer you a couple options:
- I would be more than happy to send you a recording of the Zoom class for you to replay on your own time. OR,
- I will gladly refund your money.
*Note: I will only offer refunds until 30 minutes before class starts, at which point payment becomes final. But, I will still send you the recorded Zoom video if you wish!
*check your spam folder for the account signup and class confirmations
*please note that all class times are in UTC-6, LINK to T&C/ToS and all prices are in USD
